YUM CHA
The Eight
The review of The Eight
Today, my friend and I went to The Eight to yum cha. Last Yum Cha
|
| part, we introduce the milk egg tart, har gow, chicken feet (fengzhua), and write a review of Fat Buddha. |
when
we sit, the waitress asked what tea we would like to drink. Chinese tea plays
an important role in Yum Cha. Usually you will heard the tea below: Lung Ching Tea ,Ti Kuan Yin Tea, Jasmine Tea, Pu’Er, Chrysanthemum Tea. You can choose
whatever kind of tea you like, and free to fill it full.
After
ordered tea, today we will introduce 2 new dim sum to you. The first one is Siu Mai.
Siu
Mai (simplified Chinese: 烧卖; traditional Chinese: 燒賣),
also romanized as Shumai or shaomai, also called pork dumplings (although often
other types of dumplings could also be filled with pork), is a type of
traditional Chinese dumpling served as dim sum.
The
Siu Mai in The Eight filled with scallop, it tastes more delicious than the
original one.
The
second one we want to introduce to you is Sweet milky bun, also call as Sweet
cream buns (simplified Chinese:奶皇包 Cantonese:naai wong baau): Steamed buns with milk custard
filling. It is a swe
et dim sum, tastes
amazing and special. The Eight make it good and native as the restaurant in
Guangdong.
The
Eight is a good place to yum cha, all the dim sum there are good.
